Picrossword (Mini #3)

· By theparocine · Published 2024-04-11T04:33:59.289Z

A combination crossword and nonogram - a mini one between the 10x10s! Picross clues indicate contiguous blocks of letters that make a single word/phrase, broken up by Xs. For example, a clue followed by (1,1,1) refers to a 3 letter word with Xs separating each letter in the word. If the answer to the clue was say, SAY, then you might have to fill SXAXY into that row/column of the crossword. Happy solving!

These are starting to make a tiny bit more sense- I don't really get FA as an answer to 8A - is that, like, FA as in FAR but maybe said by someone with a Boston accent?

It's a line from the song Do-Re-Mi and a common mnemonic for remembering the notes of the aforementioned musical system. FA is note number 4, and it sounds like "FAR", so. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I really liked that clue, it made me smile to get it
